They/he/she called on Saturday 10 October, 2026. Messaged out of the blue. Following message was left, URGENT - Transaction Pending Review! PayPal: This purchase matches patterns flagged by thousands of other users this month, triggering our fraud screening. Merchant: Driscoll & Meyers Supply Amount: $287.40 Date: Oct 10, 2026 Ref ID: #PL-556102 Is this you? No action needed on your part. If this is unfamiliar, call our merchant verification team right away at +61 1800 470424 - after 4 hours, the charge will process automatically.

I replied and told them where to go.
The scammer replied the next day and wrote, "I am no scammer. Nor did I attempt to contact you. Perhaps someone besides myself is using my number as a spoof. I don't know. Your number looks to be in the UK. Is this true? Nobody from across the pond has ever messaged me before." I replied "Bullsh*t!!!" He then responded with several derogatory and racial remarks and asked about the time where I am. Specifically, "What time you got there? It's 9:15 here. (Not that you care) Lol" The 9:15 was underlined, which probably meant that if I touch the screen on it, I would probably be directed to a scam 'wormhole'. I responded today and he/it started the racial abuse again.
