    Caller: Phillip

Subsequent to advertising a camper trailer on Gumtree, was contacted by “Phillip” who is in the armed forces & deployed overseas...of course!
He offered to buy my camper trailer as a gift for his son as a surprise gift for his son who had just graduated from University.
He wasn’t able to pay cash as I requested, instead could arrange for PayPal to forward the
agreed asking price. Upon the funds landing in my account, his couriers would arrive to take delivery of the trailer. In the meantime, his legal representative would be in touch to finalise all details. This was no doubt to give me confidence that all was above board & legitimate. Naturally, I smelt a rat & ceased communication with our serving member.
Nice try, but it failed miserably. Of course folks, you know how the story would have ended if I’d been gullible enough to proceed with arrangements.
The moral of this story is to be aware..be very aware & extremely cynical!! Do NOT part with any goods you have for sale unless the buyer has cash in their hand.
I hope this helps somebody out there in the world.

Dodgy! Mobile number starting with +15. If it was Australian it would start with +61. Replied to my for sale advert telling me to reply only by email. I don't think so.
