Called my 95 year old mother saying that her medicare card had expired and they needed to send her a new one but needed to verify some info first. Of course she couldn't find her Medicare card because she doesn't have one (doesn't need one!). So they asked if she knew her Social Security # instead. Luckily I caught her in the middle of this call and she didn't give them any info. I got on phone and this man with an Indian accent said her Medicare benefits had stopped because her card expired. I read him the Riot Act. Scam!
