A spam email from jamesharrisonsomr2 @ outlook.com appeared in my Junk folder on 21 July 2026 but was not seen until 25 July. It was headed ‘Timothy Fernandez’ and claimed to be an ’official renewal receipt’, with auto-renew every three years unless auto-renewal is disabled’, for a $234.99 auto-debit to pay for a Camera Privacy Guard on a Personal Shield Plan. The email said that, ‘if you did not authorize this transaction, you have 12 hours to initiate a cancellation and receive an immediate refund ... For assistance, kindly reach out to our dedicated customer support team at: +1 865 293 8312’. The foot of the email had Copyright 2026 Geek Squad and said it was a system generated email.
